VCP Associates, founded in 2003 by Mark Chockalingam, specializes in Business Process Re-engineering and Supply Chain Strategy consulting for medium-sized companies.  Based in Lexington, MA, the firm also offers customized training workshops in Demand Management, Sales and Operations Planning and Forecasting Analytics.  The company was incorporated into Demand Planning, LLC in September 2004.

Mark Chockalingam

Mark Chockalingam is Principal, Demand Planning, LLC and is a frequent speaker at major supply chain events.  Mark has spent most of his career in business forecasting and modeling.  He has specialized in the CPG and the healthcare space, implementing best practices to sharpen complex supply chains and be more customer focused. 

Current and former clients include:  New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), Verizon, Texas Instruments, Miller Breweries, Ticona, Celanese AG, HillsPet Nutrition, Smead Manufacturing, Limited Brands etc.

He has held positions of increasing responsibility with Fedex, Schering-Plough Inc and the Gillette Company.  He was most recently Director of Demand Planning Development, North America with the Gillette Company in Boston.  At Gillette, Mark had led the Demand Planning function for the Grooming, Oral Care and Braun Business Units while also leading the new initiatives to re-design the North America Demand Planning Process.

Before joining Gillette, Mark worked in the Health Care as well as the Transportation sectors.  Mark was Suncare Forecast Manager with Schering-Plough in Memphis and was involved in development of quantitative demand forecast models, consumption forecast models as well as process re-innovation in demand communication and management.  

Mark has a Ph. D. in Finance from Arizona State University, an MBA from the University of Toledo and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.  You can contact me here.
